Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Filling Team on the Afternoon Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm). This position will be based out of our manufacturing facility located in Etobicoke and requires candidates to be on-site 5-days a week.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition
  • Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the equipment
  • Perform routine quality in-process checks for the products on the line as required
  • Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
  • Support palletizing process including but not limited to creating and implementing labels to the master cases and handling the cases to build the pallets
  • Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
  • Organize, maintain an obstructive-free work area and safely operate all machinery/equipment
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
  • Perform and report on daily safety and autonomous maintenance (centerlines, CIL etc.) related checks
  • Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to Line Inspectors and Associate Managers
  • Train/Oversee the new and existing Machine Operators on the safety, quality and delivery related procedures for the assigned machinery/equipment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience working with filling, labelling or capper machinery
  • 1+ years of experience working as a machine operator
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg
  • Knowledge of Lean, Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma principles is an asset
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
