WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Accounting and Controllership team on a full-time and permanent basis. This position is based out of our Head Office located in Liberty Village and offers a hybrid work schedule of 3-days a week in-office and 2-days a week work-from-home.
The Financial Reporting Analyst, will play a key role in leading the transformation of the financial reporting function. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this role will support all aspects of consolidation, internal and external reporting, audit inquiries, and support the optimization of reporting timelines.
PAY RANGE
The anticipated base salary for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Prepare working papers to support financial statements
- Own creation of standard models for journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance with SOX and support month end reduction
- Support the creation of a global weekly procedure to reconcile intercompany transactions and consolidations
- Ownership over the timeliness and accuracy of the Month end close process and annual close.
- Partner with cross functional counterparts in NY, Panama, and India to create streamlined processes
- Review and analysis of transactions to ensure accurate cost center allocation and account classification
- Ensure that all three reporting systems reflect a consistent representation of financial statements
- Support initiatives to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and controls
- Demonstrate deep understanding of control design within the role’s span of controls, including how the control is supposed to operate
- Ensure financial integrity and controls over financial reporting
- Perform the control as designed on a timely basis, inclusive of retaining appropriate evidence (calculations, explanations, emails, preparer’s dated sign off)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Strong financial knowledge and background in systems, data reporting and analytics required
- Relevant education in Finance / Business Administration
- CPA Designation or equivalent required
- 3+ years of progressive Financial reporting experience
- Experience with D365/SAP (ERP system) an asset
