WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a strong senior retail sales planning analyst with experience sell-through and sell-in forecasts and managing inventory in the trade.

The role works with the Partnerships team to set and revise monthly and annual retail and gross shipment estimates. Collaborates closely with Demand Planning and Supply to ensure that Account inventory needs are being anticipated and met.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our Paris Office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

Accounting and Budget:

  • Indicate a high degree of financial accountability including the actual amount of operating budgets and/or cost savings, including net sales plan responsibility where applicable
  • Support the 3-year LRP and Annual budget process by developing the following:
    • Develop regional estimates for door closings and openings
    • Develop or contribute significantly to Account level Retail, Gross Shipments, returns, and other financial estimates for total brand
    • Partners with Finance, Marketing, and Sales Lead to increase profitable sell-through

Monthly / Quarterly Estimate Review Process

  • Facilitate roll-up of regional account plans and alignment through:
    • Roll up entire account level plans, analyzing risks and opportunities between account and brand level category plans, helping facilitate discussion to come to alignment between Marketing and Partnerships
    • Strong ability to work with Partnerships and Marketing to align on brand’s final plan and the investment needed to fulfill the plan
  • Works with Demand Planning to ensure that SKU level forecasts are accurate based on brand and account plans
  • Facilitates monthly LE process, including Retail Sales & Gross Shipments, returns, and other financial estimates in collaboration with the Global Sales Planning team
  • Identifies opportunities and risks to the plan
  • Track actual gross and retail sales vs. estimate; work with Partnerships to understand shortfall/over-deliveries and their impact on rolling forecast

SKU & Product Management

  • Collaborate with Partnerships team and facilitate unit forecasts for innovation/new product launches (NPD)
  • Work closely with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to manage the timing of pipe shipments to ensure that it aligns with the region’s marketing calendar
  • Update and track NPD actuals against forecast to assess program performance
  • Review product sell-through mix and trends for key accounts

Inventory and Monthly Maintenance of Accounts

  • Analyze stock and sales plans, WOS and provides feedback to Partnerships on how to best manage the business; ensure that plans align with retailers’ objectives/metrics
  • Monthly review of account performance metrics (e.g., ROQ, WOS, counter service levels, fill rates, inventory turn) to ensure the optimization of inventory in the trade

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience as a buyer/inventory planner is a plus
  • Superior analytical skills and sound business and financial judgment
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong excel, word, PowerPoint,
  • Self-starter, adept at problem-solving
  • Discretion in confidential matters
