WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Product Release Specialist to join our finished packaging team to help in releasing finished goods.

This 12-month contract position will be based out of our Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Work closely with QA Associates – Product Release to ensure the Documentation, auditing and record keeping of Quality documents, i.e., Batch sheets, MBPR, audit sheets, logs, etc review and approval.
  • Work closely with QA Associates – Product Release to ensure Bulk and Finished Product Released as per the schedule.
  • Work closely with QA Associates – Product Release and ensure all Retain Samples and batch release samples are verified prior to Product Release.
  • Liaise between Microbiology, Product Quality and Supply Chain Department and Ensure Microbiology Results are updated in a timely manner.
  • Creation and Approval of Bill of Materials (BOMs) in Deciem ERP System to meet required departmental schedule.
  • Create and ensure the Bill of Materials (BOMs) are up to date and available for Deciem Production.
  • Provide the updated Bill of Materials (BOMs) to Third-Party Manufacturing Units (TPMs) when required.
  • Ensure the Batch Sheets, Master Batch Packaging Records and other associated Documents are ready for Compounding and Production as per Master Compounding & Production Schedule.
  • Review Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM’s) produced Finished Product AQLs Sheets and approve product release as per Deciem Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review and Approve Raw Materials, Packaging Components and Bulk testing Documentation from Quality Control. Release Raw Materials, Packaging Components and Bulks in Deciem ERP Portal as per Standard Operating Procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Previous experience with, or good understanding of good laboratory practices and good documentation practices
  • College/Technical School diploma in Quality Assurance or related field. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) would be preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
    Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience in the pharmaceutical/food/cosmetic industry, preferably in a QA function
