WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder, Nicola Kilner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As a Trade Marketing Intern, you will assist in the execution of marketing strategies to drive product sales and visibility within key retail partners. You will work closely with the retail Partnerships team to support campaigns, product launches, and market research. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial function and understand the dynamics of consumer goods, retail, and brand management.

  • This is a full-time contract role (37.5 hours/5 days per week)
  • This internship runs from May 19, 2025 - August 8, 2025
  • The hourly pay for this position is $22.00/hour.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Assist in the development and implementation of retailer campaigns, ensuring all marketing materials, promotions, and tools are aligned with brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop strategies for improving retail execution, including in-store displays, promotions, and product placement.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities in brand market approach
  • Stay up-to-date with skincare market trends, dotcom updates, in store activations from like-brands in the space
  • Help track weekly, monthly, annual sales data and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and launches.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work with data and derive insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Passion and understanding of the beauty market and emerging brands.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
