Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Transportation professional with experience working in shipping and working with carriers to join DECIEM at our Distribution Center in Moonachie, New Jersey.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Key contact for vendors for inbound/outbound shipments to our facilities
  • Responsible for the execution of shipments from the NJ warehouse
  • Ensure that shipments to retailers are sent on time, tracked, and arrive safely at the destination, by providing timely and accurate paperwork as required for shipping
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure the product is sent to retailers on time and accurately
  • Track shipments to ensure arrival. Investigate, record, and track discrepancies when needed
  • Create paperwork for shipping as required by the type of shipment (customs declarations, shipping manifest, packing slips)
  • Point of contact for US Customs Broker for inbound customs issues
  • Report & monitor transportation vendors by managing scorecard and meeting with local carrier representatives
  • Measure and improve logistics processes to deliver supply chain KPI targets On-Time Delivery Percentage, cost, carrier performance, etc.)
  • Implements processes and procedures to ensure optimal logistics and continuous improvements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 2 years of equivalent work experience in transportation/logistics or relevant education is required
  • 1 year of people management and/or leadership experience in a transportation/logistics setting is preferred
  • Experience with global B2B & inter-company transfer shipments (ground/air/ocean)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
