WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to support our global Facilities department.

This hybrid role will be based out of our Fraser Head Office in Toronto.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Support the DECIEM’s Global Facilities department, and the Senior Manager, Facilities, with coordinating all CAPEX and maintenance-related activities across our international network of assets – Offices, Retail, Warehouses / Distribution Centers etc.
  • Attend ongoing project update sessions with multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholders, aimed at prioritizing execution strategy for all active Facilities-related CAPEX projects and work orders.
  • Support and facilitate the vendor qualification and project tender processes with the support of the Senior Facilities Manager, to ensure fair market comparison on all facilities-related projects, preventative services, and FF&E. Ensure that all vendors are set up in Avetta, our contractor qualification program
  • Takes initiative to follow up and direct vendors to complete delinquent or unfinished jobs as reported by field teams across all assets as required
  • Assists with supporting the Senior Manager, Facilities, with resolving and reconciling emergencies that may arise across our Global Facility network. Be available to handle after-hours emergencies remotely as needed
  • Provides manager with analysis and reports of vendor quality and work completion
  • Perform occasional in-store audits for safety and maintenance issues at the discretion of the managers
  • Reviews project budgets, leases, construction and maintenance contracts, and financial invoices for accuracy and administration
  • Occasionally travel to DECIEM’s facility locations as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

    • 3- 5 years of Facilities Management and coordination experience. Construction Project Management and Coordination experience also relevant. International/Global experience is an asset.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal and external project stakeholders – successful candidate must be able to leverage relationships to gain consensus, and drive the momentum of active projects
    • Exposure to end-to end development process – from real estate, to design and development, to construction management, to project close-out
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication and organizational skills
    • Ability work with ambiguity, and strategically “connect the dots”
    • Working knowledge of PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Facilities Management Software a plus e.g. Air Table, Pro-Core, Ms Project
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and deadlines is essential
    • Resilient problem solver, negotiator, with the ability to take initiative and ownership
    • Detail-oriented and capable of managing projects with excellent follow through and accuracy
