WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science-first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder, Nicola Kilner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will have a high level of business acumen and will be responsible for all Partnerships and Key Retailer accounts throughout Australia and New Zealand to ensure steady growth in this key market. We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills and who can demonstrate their ability to build strong collaborative relationships internally & externally.

This is a full-time, 12-month maternity contract role, the successful candidate must be available to start in mid to late February 2025.

This is a hybrid role, working from our Port Melbourne office 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday).

    WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

    • As the Head of Market, ANZ your main objective is to direct and oversee all operations and staff throughout the region in order to ensure the company’s steady growth. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, targets and distribution of our products
    • Create standard practices, documents, and procedures to maximize efficiency, maintain consistency, support portal integration and ensure transparency globally
    • Oversight of retail and distribution partnerships account set-up (handling administrative requirements, ensuring brand assets are transmitted, supporting in launch planning) in new markets
    • Maintain brand image and expand the business in Australia & New Zealand
    • Achieve operational targets and responsible for financial planning activities including monitoring profit and loss statements, implementing measures to attain target metrics--including P&L and staffing budgets for region
    • Daily, weekly and monthly business reviews and performance reports to identify further opportunity
    • Supporting and maintaining DECIEM’s current distribution relationships in the Australian and New Zealand markets
    • Introduce key distributors to the company portfolio of brands in markets that align with our global expansion strategy
    • Work with all corporate departments to ensure corporate initiatives are rolled out in an effective manner
    • Support with the sustainability and social impact team and diversity, equity & inclusion team regularly to incorporate our approach into aspects of work

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

    • Demonstrates well-developed business acumen and understands how to implement/manage change
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
    • Demonstrated understanding of the functional beauty market, particularly in Australia & New Zealand
    • 4+ years of people management and/or leadership experience is required
    • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in retail, account or project management is an asset
