WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to provide visible support to our operations in our distribution center.
The approved Salary Band for this position is between USD 80,000 to 85,000 per annum.
This role will be based out of our Newark Distribution Center.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Responsible for inventory integrity of finished goods in our USA Distribution Centre, E-Commerce and our Free-Standing Stores
- Lead EHS initiatives across US-based facilities, setting priorities, metrics, goals, and ensuring seamless integration of processes.
- Partner with Humans Resources to manage Workers Compensation in multiple States
- Drive change and promote a culture of safety, aligning with DECIEM's innovative and caring ethos.
- Develop and provide training
- Support Security and Loss Prevention initiatives
- Walk the floor & in-the-moment coaching support, conduct safety observations.
- Complete necessary OSHA reporting
- Address daily operational EHS concerns in collaboration with staff and facility leadership.
- Act as the primary liaison for EHS matters with regulatory authorities.
- Proactively conduct risk assessments and inspections to develop and implement control programs.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 3 - 6 years of health & safety work experience in a leadership capacity.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and project management skills
- Strong analytical, coordination and project management skills with ability to prioritize changing and conflicting demands, meet deadlines, and stay productive under pressure
- Experience in supporting compliance in ISO certified facilities.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety.
