WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Senior Manager, Art & Design – NIOD & DECIEM – Global will be a key member of the DECIEM and NIOD Design team leading the design, concept ideation and validation for new projects. They will work alongside the NIOD Brand team and other departments to understand the DECIEM and NIOD to bring the NIOD’s brand vision to life.

This is a three day in office hybrid role, based out of our Liberty Village office.

PAY RANGE

The anticipated base salary for this position is $115,000 - $125,000.

Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Lead the day-to-day creative execution for NIOD and DECIEM, bringing brand briefs and business objectives to life through strong, elevated design concepts
  • Partner closely with the Creative/Art Director, Brand teams, copywriters, photographers and videographers to brainstorm and develop creative concepts for campaigns, launches and brand moments
  • Translate creative ideas into compelling mood boards, mockups, presentations and creative decks that clearly communicate the vision to stakeholders and support project approvals
  • Lead the execution of a diverse range of projects, including new product launches, partnership campaigns, Sephora initiatives, holiday and promotional campaigns, and brand awareness moments
  • Manage and mentor a team of graphic designers, providing hands-on creative guidance, feedback and support throughout the design and execution process.
  • Work closely with designers and creative partners to break down large, complex projects into manageable plans, timelines and deliverables, while balancing multiple projects at once
  • Review and approve creative work to ensure it meets NIOD and DECIEM’s visual standards, creative objectives and quality expectations
  • Proactively identify creative, operational or project challenges, develop practical solutions and efficiencies, and confidently flag issues or opportunities to keep work moving forward
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Retail Design and other key teams to ensure creative objectives, timelines and execution remain aligned from concept through completion
  • Stay hands-on in the creative process, contributing your own design expertise and ideas while rolling up your sleeves to support the team and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Creative leadership & people management: Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing creative teams, with a collaborative, approachable leadership style and the confidence to provide clear direction and feedback
  • 7+ years of graphic/creative design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality conceptual and executional work; proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to turn briefs and business objectives into compelling creative concepts, visual stories and presentations, with strong knowledge of brand identity and visual design.
  • Project management & problem-solving: Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple overlapping projects, prioritize competing deadlines, identify challenges and find effective solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication & collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge and communicate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders; comfortable working hands-on with designers, photographers and videographers.
